The owners of Woolhouse Street, Northcote purchased the property with the vision of transforming the existing house into something special. The old home even came with its own resident ghost which lived quite contently upstairs. It was important to keep the character of the original home while rejuvenating it with a more contemporary feel.

Outcome

The result of much hard work and added design features from the team at SRB, saw the ugly duckling turn into a beautiful swan. A large open-plan living/dining area at the rear, and located beneath spectacular cathedral ceilings, link seamlessly to an inviting outdoor decking; with access through wide bi-fold doors.

A new kitchen which included a walk-in pantry, island bench and stone benchtops all complemented the true entertaining feel. Two downstairs bedrooms share a renovated bathroom with the laundry facilities cleverly hidden behind bi fold cabinet doors. Upstairs the main bedroom suite features a parents retreat, WIRs and bright second bathroom. This home was transformed to a place where even the residential ghost could enjoy the comforts of modern living!
